Who will practise law in the first few years, after the overthrow?

Post by omid »

I've wondered what will happen to those studying and practising law, after the overthrow.
Even if a body of law is immediately created--whether by temporarily reverting to 1978 laws, or by somehow copying a set of international laws--could lawyers immediately adapt?
It takes time for lawyers to be re-trained, and for university curricula to change. What did the theocracy do, after 1978? I expect, and vaguely recall, the process to be gradual. But, the monarchist laws could not have been as anathematical to it as Sharia would be to most Iranians, post-overthrow!
